Supporting Survivors by Funding the BRAVE Programme

Because healing shouldn’t happen alone.

Sexual violence can turn a young person’s world upside down. In the aftermath, many survivors are left carrying grief, fear, and confusion on their own — unsure who to trust or where to turn for help.

At Kiwis For Good, we believe no one should be left to carry that weight alone.

KFG passionately fund the BRAVE Programme — a specialist support programme delivered by the BRAVE Foundation, designed to help young survivors of sexual harm feel safe, supported, and heard as they begin to heal.

Our funding removes barriers to care, making it possible for young women and girls to access professional, trauma-informed support at a time when it matters most.

What the BRAVE Programme Offers

Counselling that Understands Trauma

Survivors can access counselling from experienced professionals who truly understand the impacts of sexual trauma. Support is tailored to each person — whether that’s one-on-one sessions, group therapy, or simply having someone walk alongside them at their own pace. Everything is confidential, compassionate, and free from judgement.

Practical Support and Advocacy

Healing isn’t just emotional — it’s practical too. The BRAVE Programme helps survivors navigate medical care, legal options, and recovery pathways, offering clear guidance without pressure. Survivors are supported to understand their rights and make informed choices that feel right for them.

Connection & Community

Isolation can be one of the hardest parts of recovery. Through survivor-led groups, workshops, and resources, the BRAVE Programme creates spaces where young people can connect with others who understand — and be reminded that they are not alone.

Why This Work Matters

Sexual harm can change a life, but it does not define a person’s future. With the right support, healing is possible — and hope can return.

By funding the BRAVE Programme, Kiwis For Good helps ensure survivors can access care without cost, shame, or barriers. It’s about dignity, choice, and walking alongside people as they find their way forward.

Need Support?

If you or someone you care about needs help, support through the BRAVE Programme is available now. It’s free, confidential, and survivor-centred.
